About
Byron graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2004 and has worked in private practice for the last 17 years. For Byron, it’s important to maintain the highest standard of care for his patients, so he continues to advance his professional skills and have completed multiple courses on assessment and treatment techniques as well as becoming certified in spinal manipulations.
As a physiotherapist, Byron enjoys working with a variety of patients, ranging from office workers, weekend warriors to highly trained athletes and seniors (we have a lot to learn from seniors). Byron knows first hand how injury (particularly motor vehicle, spinal and work-related injuries) can hinder a person’s lifestyle. To help his patients recover, he uses a range of therapeutic methods including manual therapy, condition specific exercise, modalities for swelling and inflammation, athletic taping, and more.
He has had the opportunity to also treat and be a team therapist for both varsity level and Junior A level hockey teams in the past. Byron's also a sports/outdoors enthusiast, and spends a lot of his spare time playing hockey, ball hockey, softball and being active outside while teaching his children to do the same. Believe it or not, he also likes farming! It’s a really good way to stay in shape.
Byron always enjoys meeting new people and getting to know them and being able to come up with a customized physiotherapy plan that helps them return to what is important in their life.
