Dr. Hayley Ellwood is a clinical psychologist providing diagnostic assessment and evidence-based mental health treatment. She is originally from the South Shore of Nova Scotia and completed her doctoral education in Vancouver, BC and Houston, Texas. Dr. Ellwood is a former associate of Genest MacGillivray Psychological Services in Halifax and now works exclusively with Lifemark, which allows her to focus more on her special interest in assessment and treatment of military/veteran and law enforcement populations. Dr. Ellwood treats trauma-related, mood, and anxiety disorders using cognitive-behavioural treatments including: Unified Protocol (UP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is Level II trained in Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP) through Boston University. Dr. Ellwood is also an approved WCB provider and enjoys her work with Nova Scotia's Traumatic Psychological Injury program. She is passionate about best practices, consultation, and education.
