Emily graduated from a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2018 after obtaining a Bachelor in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies from the University of Calgary. Emily is working towards obtaining her Certified Hand Therapist designation.

Emily has had previous experience working in Long Term Care and in a Complex Pain interdisciplinary team, as well as fieldwork experience in acute care, pediatric mental health, adult mental health, and designing accessible spaces. Her interest in hand therapy comes from an appreciation for how hand function can impact mental, social, and psychological well-being, and how creatively adapting the environment can lead to better functional outcomes.

Other than work, Emily enjoys exploring different types of crafts, keeping her plants alive, and trying out new food with her friends.
