Janny Hineman provides Schroth-based physical therapy for clients with scoliosis in Calgary, Alberta. She graduated from the University of Manitoba and has 10 years of clinical experience in private practice.

She was diagnosed with scoliosis as a teenager and attended a Schroth-based clinic in Europe as a young adult to learn the exercise therapy for her personal use. The benefits Janny received from the exercise therapy made her desire to specialize in conservative treatment for scoliosis.

Janny obtained her C1 and C2 certification in 3D treatment for scoliosis, according to the principles of C.L Schroth, through the Barcelona Physical Therapy School (BSPTS). She was the first physiotherapist in Calgary to provide Schroth-based treatment for scoliosis and has been providing this treatment for clients over the past 6 years. Janny understands that a diagnosis of scoliosis can be overwhelming and stressful for both the client and their family members. She desires to minimize these stresses through education and empowerment of her clients. Janny works with clients of all ages whether they are a child or adolescent newly diagnosed with scoliosis or an older adult wanting to start the therapy.

It is the goal of BSPTS therapists to work as a team with doctors, orthotists, and surgeons specializing in scoliosis to provide clients the best treatment possible.
