Dr. Leslie Wheeler is a Royal College certified psychiatrist with over twenty years’ experience in the Mental Health & Addictions field. Dr. Wheeler obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Memorial University and completed her medical training within the Faculty of Medicine. She has subspecialty training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and has additional certification in Brain Stimulation Psychiatry. She holds clinical and administrative roles within Newfoundland & Labrador Health Services and is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Faculty of Medicine.

In addition to her hospital-based work she has provided external psychiatric consultations to both the pediatric and adult age groups for a variety of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Assessments focus on the goal of improving functioning and optimizing outcomes for patients through the creation of an individualized plan that involves inter-professional collaboration and evidence-based practices.
