About
Lu brings 13 years of experience to the Lifemark team. Lu graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2004 after completing his Honours Degree in Kinesiology. Committed to life-long learning, Lu has taken several post-graduate courses in areas such as treatment of vestibular disorders, TMJ, concussion management, McKenzie back therapy, Mulligan technique, and manual therapy. Lu is certified in acupuncture with the Canadian Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
Originally from Ontario, Lu has worked in several busy private practice clinics both out East and within the Lower Mainland. He enjoys treating clients of all different ages and walks of life, including those with acute, chronic, and terminal conditions, orthopaedic injuries sustained from recreational and rep-level sports, motor vehicle and work-place accidents, as well as neurological conditions.
Lu was an athletic trainer for McMaster Women's Field Hockey Team, as well as worked with the Mac Wheelers, providing rehab for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Having strong beliefs in client-centred care, Lu brings a multi-faceted approach to his therapy by incorporating various manual therapy techniques, patient education, along with evidence-based treatment techniques like acupuncture and exercise prescription tailored to suit the specific needs of each of his clients.
Lu is fluent in English and Polish.
Outside of the workplace, you can find Lu exploring the beautiful West Coast with his family and new baby. He also enjoys yoga, Ultimate, and playing recreational league soccer.
