About
Nicole graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Psychology in 2015 from Saint Mary’s University. After graduation, Nicole worked in the field of mental health for several years, working in traumatic brain-injury rehabilitation, and community integration with individuals facing physical and cognitive impairment. Nicole graduated with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville in 2021.
As a clinician, Nicole provides an empathic and client centered approach to every session to both support and empower clients through their journey. Nicole has experience in working to support individuals struggling to manage their emotional experiences, are experiencing distress, low mood, chronic pain, feeling “stuck”, struggling with perfectionistic tendencies, low self-esteem, life style changes, feeling unsafe, moving forward from post-traumatic experiences, addiction and substance use, and supporting clients through times of uncertainty.
Nicole holds post-graduate training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a first-line recommended treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in various populations. Additionally, Nicole has post-graduate training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS Therapy) which focuses on self-acceptance and self-compassion practices.
