Shiva completed her Master of Physiotherapy with honours in 2011 and her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2008 at Shiraz University of Medical Science in Iran. To expand her knowledge, she also completed her PhD in Physiotherapy, during which she received training in advanced manual therapy and evidence based practice.

Shiva also has training in orthopaedic manual therapy and is a certified Gunn IMS practitioner. She has extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries. Her treatment approach involves manual therapy and individualize exercise prescription. She always tries to look beyond the injury with a holistic approach. Her main goal is to improve her patients’ functional abilities and to prevent future injuries.

Shiva has a keen interest in treating neck pain, lower back pain, and shoulder injuries. Enjoying an active lifestyle herself and having the knowledge of movement impairment patterns, allows her to help her clients return to their activities following injury, surgery, or motor vehicle accident.

Shiva is passionate about keeping her knowledge up-to-date by taking courses, attending seminars, and reading recent literature. Outside of work, Shiva enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, and dancing.
