About
Tanya graduated from Dalhousie University School of Physiotherapy (with Distinction) in 2002. She hails from New Brunswick, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology (First Class Honors) at UNB in 1999. As a life-long learner, she has completed numerous post-graduate courses. In particular, she received her professional designation, CAFCI (Certified by Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute) in 2006 and completed the graduate certificate in chronic pain management from McGill University in 2015.
Tanya has worked the majority of her career in private practice, and completed a term with the Nova Scotia Health Authority as a wellness facilitator. Tanya has fulfilled a volunteer term as the president of the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association, occasionally guest lectures at the Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy, and was the winner of the 2016 Award of Excellence from the NS Physiotherapy Association.
