About
Kari graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 1999. The focus of her degree was in physical rehabilitation and ergonomics with the goal of assisting injured individuals in getting back on their feet and achieving a certain quality of life. She has been doing just that as a treating clinician in the town of Bridgewater for almost two decades. She has also been an acting clinic manager since 2002.
Kari joined the Lifemark team when the clinics partnered in October, 2018. She continues to enjoy providing injury-specific programming, functional and workplace assessment, education and case management as acting clinic manager and kinesiologist at Lifemark Bridgewater. She has been conducting functional abilities evaluations throughout her career and has recently been trained to perform Workwell functional capacity evaluations. She has extensive experience in working as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team conducting programs for the Worker’s Compensation Board, Veteran Affairs and motor vehicle insurers.
Kari has passion for helping others, picking them up when they are down and returning them to the game of life. Her greatest accomplishment are her three children. As such, her pass-times outside of the workplace include coaching elementary and junior high school soccer, being a 4H leader and hobby-farming (goats and horses). Her philosophy in life is to live life to its fullest as it is not the quantity of years in your life but rather the quality of life in those years that matters most.
