About
Ian graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2018. He has completed level 1 of the Fellowship with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT). He has also completed a number of post graduate courses including concussion assessment and management, Mulligan concept, and Functional Capacity Evaluations. He has experience working with Special Olympics athletes through the FunFitness screening program.
Ian is passionate about using research to keep his practice up to date. He is a current Adjunct Academic Staff Member at Queen's University and accepts Physiotherapy Students on a regular basis from the Queen's MScPT program. He has published a manuscript in Physiotherapy Canada as a co-author investigating which factors influence publication from research projects completed as part of a Canadian Master of Science program in Physical Therapy.
His treatment approach emphasizes individualized exercise prescription to empower clients to have an active role in their recovery. He uses manual therapy, therapeutic modalities and patient education to complement active treatment plans.
Away from the clinic, you can find Ian on the tennis court where he plays in the Durham, Scarborough and Toronto competitive leagues as well in provincial level singles tournaments. Ian’s passion for physiotherapy first started when he noticed how it was helping fellow tennis players.
