About
Barbara graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph in 1990. In 1997, she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She has also completed 220 hours of acupuncture training from the Acupuncture Council of Ontario. Barbara is a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, Canadian Chiropractic Association, Acupuncture Council of Ontario, and Vestibular Disorders Association. Barbara’s chiropractic practice utilizes manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription to correct/resolve muscle imbalances that lead to musculoskeletal injury and impairment, as well as acupuncture and other modalities. Her goal with each patient is to educate them on their condition and causative factors in order to empower them to take an active role in their rehabilitation process. She is a firm believer that an active treatment plan is the key to a successful recovery. Furthermore, she is actively pursuing a wide range of post-graduate education courses to further her knowledge and clinical skills in manual therapy, acupuncture, Pilates Rehabilitation, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Concussion Rehabilitation and Cancer Exercise Therapy. To keep active herself, Barbara currently participates in pilates, weight training and yoga. She also participates in many other sports recreationally for fun.
