Beatrice pursued a career in pedorthics after attending a job fair at the University of Waterloo. It prompted her to volunteer at a sports clinic on campus while completing her honours degree in Kinesiology in 1996. She immediately started her practicum in Missassauga, Ontario and finished in Calgary, Alberta. Upon completing the pedorthic exams, Beatrice because fully certified in 2000 and is a member of the Pedorthic Association of Canada and the College of Pedorthics.

Beatrice has worked in both hospital and private clinic settings, however she most enjoys working in a multidisciplinary setting where she can access the services and support of her colleagues. She believe that the patient’s needs are best met by teams of health providers working in collaboration with each other and with patients. Working at Lifemark, Beatrice has completed the functional movement screen and the selective functional movement aessment courses. Beatrice enjoys the variety of her day interacting with patients and problem solving through lab work.

Outside of work, Beatric loves the west coast lifestyle. She is frequently taking yoga classes, running along the dyke and snowboarding in Whistler.
