Sylvia is a highly motivated Registered Kinesiologist with a deep interest in human movement and exercise science. She graduated with a Master of Kinesiology degree from the University of Toronto. With her passion for workplace health and wellness, she completed a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto.

During her clinical placement, Sylvia worked with clients recovering from concussion and lower extremity injuries. She assisted with the design and implementation of individualized structured exercise programs and closely monitored the rehabilitation progress. She focused on movement screening and exercise instructing. She wants to help clients with their fundamental movement patterns and physical literacy to improve their quality of life. She conducted in-depth secondary qualitative research regarding sarcopenia prevention. She realized the importance of knowledge transfer, being open-minded and keeping pace with the up-to-date treatment approach. In her previous role as a medical assistant, she supported administration and operations of the clinic and delivered services that exceeded clients’ expectations. She has developed good client communication and relationship management skills.

In her spare time, she loves travelling, hiking and reading. Hiking takes her away from the monotonous pattern of life. She is excited about the real adventure and also enjoys savoring the grace and passion from the text.
