About
Alison graduated from Dalhousie University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy after completing her first degree in Disability Studies. Since graduation, Alison has specialized in physical health in community settings and always brings a high degree of quality, expertise and evidence-based interventions when working with clients.
Alison leads with a holistic, client-centred approach to every client she works with. She is passionate about removing barriers faced by clients so they can reach their small and sometimes ambitious goals. She works collaboratively to find the “just right” fit to ensure clients feels success. Through interventions such as remediation, adaptive strategies, creative problem solving, identifying and challenging our beliefs, she has helped individuals develop new skills and optimize their independence and function.
Alison feels honoured to be part of any individuals’ life, whether they are experiencing a disabling injury, chronic disease, developmental disability, or at a new stage in life. With 17 years of experience alongside her blend of creativity, passion, and evidence-based approach, she works with clients to design a care plan to meet clients where they are and ensure optimal success.
Outside of work, Alison enjoys sewing, reading, eating delicious food, and gathering with friends. You will also find her seeking adventures on the water or up in the mountains.
