Marli was born and raised in Georges River, Nova Scotia. She graduated from Cape Breton University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Community Studies in Sport and Physical Activity Leadership. She then completed her MSc in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian Univertsity in Glasgow, Scotland. She is trained in assessment and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and has received additional certification in sport taping. Marli is working as a Physiotherapist at Lifemark North Sydney.
