About
Katie was born and raised in Grande Prairie and is excited to have returned home to give back to the community that raised her. Katie has been a part of the Lifemark family for many years. She first joined our team as a physiotherapy aide during her high school years with the goal of one day returning to the clinic as a physiotherapist.
Katie graduated from the University of Alberta, completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Distinction. Katie was awarded the Governor General's Medal for achieving the highest average among all graduating students at the University for that year. She then pursued a Master of Science in Physical Therapy and earned the Dean's Medal in Rehabilitation Medicine for her outstanding academic achievement, graduating at the top of her physiotherapy program. Throughout her educational journey, Katie enjoyed her time volunteering with the Special Olympics, PARDS, and the Steadward Center as these valuable experiences afforded her opportunity to work with people of all ages and abilities.
Katie's passion for patient-centered care helps empower her patients to reach their treatment goals. Katie has a special interest in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription with the aim of helping her patients move better and feel better. Katie has also obtained her post-graduate certification in IMS dry needling in order to expand her skills and treatment options.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys hiking, cuddling with her puppy Moose, and watching way too much reality TV with her loving husband/best friend.
