About

Corinne Sauvé (she/her) has been a registered Social Worker for over 20 years. She completed her Bachelor’s of Social Work at the University of Calgary and worked within a variety of settings supporting youth with disabilities and their caregivers in the Calgary community. In 2007, she moved back home to Nova Scotia to attend Dalhousie University and graduated with her Master’s of Social Work in 2010. Corinne has additional training in CPT, ACT, SFT, CBT, coping with chronic pain, Perinatal Mental Health and the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders.

At IWK Health, Corinne provided support to families affected by brain injury and chronic neurological disorders for 8 years. She then transitioned into the role of a perinatal Social Worker, where she counselled individuals who were pregnant and postpartum as they navigated this significant and at times challenging life transition.

Corinne has developed a special interest and skills in supporting those impacted by intimate partner violence, relationship stressors, addictions, anxiety, caregiver burnout, employment stress, adjustment to disability and various mental health issues.

Corinne’s best hope is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to help individuals navigate challenges in their lives, work towards achieving their goals, learn how to incorporate self-care principles, as well as embrace one’s life with confidence and emotional strength.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time by the ocean with her family and friends as well as hanging out with her dog Archie.
