About

Mona is a dedicated and passionate Registered Massage Therapist who brings a unique perspective to her practice, shaped by her experience as a former professional athlete. Beyond her expertise in treating common conditions such as frozen shoulder, tendonitis, back pain, headaches, and TMJ, she also loves working with athletes manage the demands of their training, and/or their recovery needs from injury.  Since 2010, Mona has been a competitive bodybuilder, turning pro in 2018 and competing on the Olympia stage in both 2021 and 2022. Through her athletic journey, she herself encountered various injuries that fuelled her interest in understanding optimal rehabilitation strategies and pain management. During her competitions, Mona discovered the significant impact that massage therapy had on her performance, daily activities, and overall well being.

Mona graduated from George Brown College in Pre-Health Science and with a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. She then furthered her education at ICT Kikkawa College, where she earned her diploma in the Massage Therapy program. Additionally, Mona completed an internship program at a physiotherapy clinic in Thailand, where she worked closely and collaboratively with physiotherapists in her role as a rehabilitative trainer.

In addition to her work as a Massage Therapist, Mona continues to work with athletes in a coaching capacity, to prepare them for their upcoming competitions. With a deep appreciation for the body's healing potential, Mona is committed to providing individualized care that meets the unique needs of each client. Her goal is to support clients through pain management and recovery with treatments specifically designed for them. Mona believes that every session is an opportunity for healing and is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their health goals. She loves what she does, and it shows!
