THE Downtown Sports Clinic was founded in 1985 with one mantra: "the patient is the centre of our world". Your treatment is all about giving you the right strategies to live pain and injury-free, enjoying your activities for as long as possible. Our 4-stage approach is thorough, with the ultimate goal of discovering the root cause of your issue to make sure it doesn't come back!
Diagnose: We begin by uncovering your story, and making sense of what's going on with your body. By asking the right questions and understanding your unique situation, we get the full picture. Your functional assessment will take 30 to 45 minutes of one-on- one analysis.
Educate: Your full understanding of your problem is the most important thing we give you. You'll learn the details of how your body is working and what you can do to prevent reoccurrence.
Activate: If you are in pain, the first goal is to reduce symptoms. A custom treatment plan may often involve multiple types of therapy. You'll be active in your sessions; our approach is dynamic.
Monitor: Make it all the way to full recovery and beyond with clear benchmarking and a discharge process. Every session has a set of expectations and a re-evaluation. You'll be aggressively tested and measured before you move on to the next activity level.
THE Downtown Sports Clinics Bow Valley Square in Calgary is approximately 2400 sq ft, with private physiotherapy and massage treatment rooms and large rehab treatment areas.
The in-clinic exercise equipment includes stationary bicycles, treadmill, free weights, cable machines, and rehab equipment.

- Selective Functional Movement Assessment: This assessment identifies faulty movement patterns that cause recurring injuries, guiding targeted rehabilitation to correct dysfunction, prevent re-injury, and support lasting recovery.
