About

Meet Basit, also known as 'The Sock Physio,' your dedicated partner in the pursuit of pain-free living. With a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta and an honors degree in Kinesiology from York University, Basit is more than a physiotherapist—he's a passionate advocate for your movement journey.

Basit's purpose is to unravel the complexities of your body and guide you through a seamless recovery process. Drawing inspiration from continual growth, he stays at the forefront of physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation, completing various postgraduate courses to provide you with evidence-based care.

Basit enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic conditions, including spinal dysfunction or pain, sports and work-related injuries and motor vehicle accidents. He also specializes in Injury prevention programs as he firmly believes in “prevention is better than cure”. His treatment style includes collaborating with you to better understand the underlying cause of your injury, pain or dysfunction and to provide you with specific treatment plans to get you to return to the things that matter most! After all, everyone is different, so his treatment approach with everyone is different. He aims to work with you to get you where you want to be.

Beyond the clinic, Basit is a fervent sports enthusiast, engaging in bodybuilding, running, martial arts, soccer, and basketball. His journey into physiotherapy was fueled by a dream of becoming a professional soccer player, derailed by injuries. Now, he's committed to ensuring injuries won't hold you back from pursuing your passions.

“if Injuries prevented me from going pro, I’ll strive to make sure injuries and dysfunction won’t hold you down from doing the things you love” ~Basit
