
Dr. Roya Alizadeh
About
Dr. Alizadeh received her degree from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver in 1997 following three years of preparatory sciences. Post-graduation she completed an intensive clinical internship at the Shandong University Hospital of TCM in China. Dr. Alizadeh is a government registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and a Licensed Professional Acupuncturist. She has served in the past as a board member of Qualified Acupuncturists and TCM Practitioners of B.C. and was a member of the Scope of Practice Committee of the College of TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturists of B.C. while practicing in that province for nearly 10 years. She has been practicing in Calgary, Alberta for the past 7 years since moving to the province with her family. Dr. Alizadeh takes a holistic approach to health & well-being including a focus on preventive care. She has extensive experience with acupuncture and other complementary disciplines within Chinese Medicine. Over the years she has helped many athletes keep conditioned and recover from injury, has aided her patients suffering from chronic pain or injuries arising from accidents and worked with cancer patients to manage side effects among others. Dr. Alizadeh is a long distance runner, loves to travel and enjoys the beautiful Alberta outdoors with her family.
