About

Elena is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a focus on teaching from the University of the Fraser Valley and a Master’s in Education in Counselling from the University of Northern British Columbia.

With over a decade of experience as a counsellor, educator, and youth care worker, Elena takes an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy. Her primary areas of focus include trauma, grief and loss, chronic illness, disabilities, and injuries particularly concussions. She also supports clients with PTSD, disordered eating, substance use, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and life transitions.

Her practice is rooted in trauma-informed, person-centered, harm reduction, and strength-based methods, with branches in narrative therapy, trauma-focused CBT, existential exploration, and family systems models. She integrates psychoeducation, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and self-compassion into her work.

Elena is committed to fostering an inclusive and affirming space for individuals of all backgrounds, embracing diversity in culture, gender, and identity. When she is not at work, she finds joy in spending time in nature, cooking delicious food, and sharing quality time with loved ones.
