Robert MacDonald is a professional psychologist with extensive experience in addiction and mental health. Prior to joining the Alta-Sask Wellness team, he served as Clinical Supervisor in Addiction and Mental Health for Alberta Health Services in Cold Lake and Bonnyville. He also operated TrailHead counselling and Psychological Services. Before becoming a psychologist, Robert spent around 12 years as a youth/associate pastor in Meadow Lake while pursuing his MA in Counselling Psychology. He is proud to have also worked as an adjunct professor with Providence from 2009-2014. 

Robert holds the National President portfolio on the National Board for PACCP and is registered as a Psychologist in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. This allows him to offer his services in both Cold Lake and Meadow Lake and see clients from both provinces. Robert and his wife, Amanda, live in Cold Lake, AB, with their two children, who attend French Immersion within the local Catholic School Division. They enjoy being close to Amanda's family in Saskatchewan and appreciate the small-city life that Cold Lake offers. As a family, they love camping and canoeing in the summer and skiing and fishing in the winter.
