About
Varun is a registered physiotherapist. He is deeply passionate about helping people and is committed to long-term health and recovery for every patient. Varun earned his physiotherapy degree from GGSIP University and went on to complete Masters of Exercise Physiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
His clinical interests are wide-ranging, including orthopaedic injuries, arthritis, geriatric care, concussion/ vestibular rehabilitation, sports injuries, postural and repetitive stress issues. Always striving to stay at the forefront of his field, he continually enhances his knowledge and skills in these areas.
Varun has completed advanced training in functional dry needling (IMS), spinal and joint manipulations, vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, selective functional movement assessments, taping and the McKenzie approach. He is also credentialed to order diagnostic imaging when deemed necessary to support patient recovery. As part of his dedication to the profession, he volunteers as a clinical instructor for University of Alberta physiotherapy students, offering guidance and sharing his expertise with the next generation of professionals.
In his treatment sessions, Varun emphasizes one-on-one, hands-on manual therapy. He believes in the power of an active rehabilitation model for promoting strong, sustainable recovery. Each session is guided by an evidence-based approach tailored to the individual, incorporating graded exercises, self-management techniques, and targeted education to support long-term health.
