Our philosophy

FIT For Work is a leader in the injury prevention and injury management industry. Behind FIT For Work is a network of occupational health and safety specialists who are committed to providing quality medical care and treatment that minimizes disability and restores functioning for the injured person, so they can resume pre-injury activities. We help injured workers, employers, insurers, lawyers, and claims managers meet their goals of resolving the impact from disability claims. FIT For Work is committed to providing comprehensive medical, occupational rehabilitation and vocational services. Customer satisfaction is paramount in FIT For Work's philosophy.

The clinic

The main branch office is located in downtown St. Johns in the HealthPlex. The office takes up three floors of the building, and is wheelchair accessible.

Additional locations are in Corner Brook and Marystown, but FIT For Work staff often travel offsite to treat and assess patients in their homes, work places and communities. FIT For Work is committed to providing services across all of Newfoundland and Labrador.

FIT For Work offers services in Occupational Rehabilitation, Medical Services, Multidisciplinary Assessments, Vocational Assessment, and Orthotics and Footcare, as well as Activation Programs for Mental Health and Chronic Illness.

We are currently offering private COVID-19 testing available in St. John's and Corner Brook areas for asymptomatic people only. Antigen testing (with 15 minute turnaround for results) or PCR testing (lab-based with 24-36 hour turnaround). The services offered at our Corner Brook and Marystown locations vary slightly, please note which services are available at each location below.

At our Corner Brook location, our employment services include drug and alcohol, ancillary testing, employment medicals, functional screens, health surveillance and health promotion. Our disability services include IME’s, Medical status exams, occupational rehabilitation.

At our Marystown location, our employment services include drug and alcohol and audiograms, functional screening. Our disability services include occupational rehabilitation services.
