The Lifemark Physiotherapy Amherst clinic has been in operation in the downtown Amherst area for 25 years. The clinic is located just off Victoria Street which is the main road through the downtown area. It is located on the second floor the Lawton's building.
Our services
Lifemark Physiotherapy Amherst provides Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Massage Therapy services to treat orthopedic conditions for the private clientele or conditions resulting from injuries workplace injury, sports or motor vehicle related injuries. These conditions range from acute to chronic. Speciality treatments can be provided for vestibular conditions and/or concussion rehabilation. Other services include: Psychology and Registered Counselling.
The clinic has 10+treatment cubicles and four private treatment rooms for physiotherapy clients. There are two massage therapy rooms and office spaces which is used by other health professionals. Modalities include ultrasound, interferential current therapy, TENS, laser, ice and heat, acupuncture and dry needling. The clinic has a gym area with free weights, treadmill, stationary bike, cable column and variety of equipment for functional testing.
Our staff includes three physiotherapists, two massage therapists, two occupational therapists, one Chiropractor, a pedorthist, a psychologist, a register councelor, three kinesiologists, two physiotherapy assistant. Combined, the physiotherapists have close to 25 years experience with numerous continuing education courses to their credit.
Most of out clinician are certified to do Functional Evaluation Capabilities testing.
The clinic services private, WCB, MVA and LTD clientele.
More extensive conditioning programs are available for those clients that need a combination of physiotherapy, gym programming, psychology etc. These are generally arranged through case managers from MVA or LTD companies and WCB.
